How do I get started with Nibi?

Download Nibi, sign in with Apple, choose your native language, pick the language you want to learn, select your proficiency level, and set a daily goal. You'll be ready to start learning in seconds.

What languages can I learn?

Nibi currently supports English, Spanish, French, German, and Russian. You can learn any of these languages from any other — for example, learn French from English or German from Spanish.

Can I learn more than one language at a time?

Yes! You can enroll in multiple courses and switch between them anytime from the home screen. Each course tracks your progress independently. It’s premium feature.

How do flashcards work?

Open a level, pick a vocabulary category, and start a flashcard session. Each card shows a word in your native language — tap to flip and reveal the translation. Swipe to mark it as easy or hard. Nibi uses spaced repetition to bring back words you're struggling with more often and space out the ones you know well.

What is spaced repetition?

Spaced repetition is a proven learning method that shows you words at increasing intervals as you memorize them. If you mark a word as hard, you'll see it again sooner. If it's easy, Nibi waits longer before showing it again. A word is considered mastered after 21 days of consistent recall.

What types of quizzes are available?

Nibi offers four quiz types: multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, typing, and grid reveal. Quizzes test you in both directions — from your native language to your target language and vice versa. You need 80% to pass.

What are gems and how do I earn them?

Gems are rewards you earn as you learn. You get 5 gems for completing a session, 10 gems for mastering a word, and 3 gems for passing a quiz. Your total is displayed on your profile.

How do streaks work?

Your streak counts the number of consecutive days you've studied. Keep learning daily to build your streak and reach milestones at 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 100, and 365 days. Streak levels range from Warming Up all the way to Legendary at 100+ days.
